This was originally intended as a pacer page for HH, but its use got changed. I'll start a NEW pacer page...and let's see if it lasts.

I don't really want a pacer, but I would like to request that Norbert Leinfellner pace me from mile 50 on since he really should be doing the 100-miler with the rest of us first-timers ;D

Hey - that's not fair! You know I was really thinking it over and over again. But after all, you had your first 50 miler three months earlier than me, and a 100k already "in" your feet (Miwok). And also... and... Well, uhm, I run out of excuses, so ... well.. Nice weather today! N.

Yes, DO IT!
What's the worst that can happen if you try?
I vote pro 100!

Beat, the worst that can happen is that I'd be unable to do the Pikes Peak Marathon in Colorado a week later (Start/Finish at 6,300' and Turnaround at 14,115'). Looks like a recovery run I know, but...

Actually, pacers are allowed starting at 50 miles for the 100 mile runners only.

OK then never mind then. I'm going out dancing saturday night. I think I would be useless as a pacer on sunday.

Norbert: you're joking, right? Plus, it's totally doable, anyways. So again: why are you not running the 100? Hmmm? Look, if it doesn't work out, blame it on the swiss Beat

Come on Norbert, take the plunge. By the way, Beat is the one who put me over the edge. We ran together for a while at Diablo. I shared with him that I was thinking of trying HH. The last 8 miles of Diablo "convinced" me I wasn't ready to double the distance. However, when I saw Beat at the finish, he said "if you can finish Diablo, you are ready for HH."

And Beat was right about that! HH doesn't have all that much more elevation gain than the Diablo 50!!
Jon, did you connect with Nate? FYI, after you get him to the starting line, I wouldn't try to stay with him anymore!

OK, as the person who started this whole thread of trying to convince Norbert to step up to the 100, I will be the first to let him off the hook. In all seriousness, I would never want to push someone into a commitment like this. I know I, personally, refused to sign up for HH100 until I finished Miwok (and finished feeling good). I also have done 3 50-milers in the past year which I felt necessary as well. Beat's been trying to convince me to sign up for a 100 since I first met him, but if I listen to him I'd be signing up for one a month!
Besides, after reading Norbert's post on aid station food, I don't think I want him out there in the 100...there may not be enough food left for the rest of us ;D
