As many of you may know, Sarah is preparing for the Wasatch 100 in a few weeks. While she isn't going to be able to head up to the mountains beforehand she is planning one of the most unique "training runs" I have heard of. Sarah will be doing a stage run from the Nevada border back to the California coast.
I'm not sure when she is heading out or what the details of the course will be (Sarah? Wendell?). However, I definitely wanted to wish her good luck and invite anyone else on these boards to also send their well wishes her way.
Have a great run Sarah! Make sure to take lots of mental notes as we will all want to hear a full report when you are done.
-Steve

Starts at the Nevada border in South Lake Tahoe and ends across the Golden Gate bridge. ~ 215 miles. Here's the planned route: Congratulations on your 102 miles at Headlands Hundred. Next time, try to keep it down at 3 a.m. We may have to ban Red Bull. Wendell

Hey, that's cool - thanks for posting that map, Wendell! It's the first I've really seen it, too - is that a good thing?! And thanks, Steve, for the good luck wishes. The whole thing just came up as something to keep me motivated this summer, and because Vol-State (the run across TN) would cost a fortune to go to. Wendell suggested running across CA and it sounded like a lot of fun. He mapped out the course, we picked the days to do it...and then we pretty much dropped the subject to focus on Headlands Hundred. Now that HH is over, it's time for SttS! ;D We'll let you know how it goes - it should be a blast! Thanks again. Sarah

Sara, That's awesome! Wishing you all the best for a great run. Be careful though as Wendall's route can be brutal! But then again you knew that. I think that you're in on it! ;D

Looks like a very cool route. I think you are going to have a blast and can't wait to see the full report. However, I do think we should refer to it as "Sarah's Sierra to the Sea" to give it that tongue-twister sound :-).

You guys are too funny! Yeah, Jeff, you'd think I'd have learned by now not to let Wendell design the course, huh?! Hey, Steve - given Wendell's comment above, I guess that if I start feeling tired, I should just have a couple of cans of Red Bull!! ;D Thanks for all your nice comments, you guys. Addy, I'm just sending you an e-mail. Sarah

Sarah, that's great! Any chance you guys can post a web-update somewhere so we can come out and cheer you on as you make your way to the GG bridge? Let's hope Wendell takes some good photos -- can't wait to hear all about it when you're done! Best of luck to you.

Wow - Super Sarah's Sierra to the Sea endurance run! (SSSttSER) Really cool! Seems to be a very good year for Sarah and Wendell - and for us runners too, will never forget! Thanks to all of you for the comradeship! Norbert (who could finally not be convinced to do the 100)

Except that "Norbert (who could finally not be convinced to do the 100) " should read:
"Norbert (who could finally not be convinced to do the 100, even though he was the only one whose 100-mile finisher's coaster was already made.)"

Yay! I'm sure you'll be smiling the whole time -- what's to worry about?

Did you mention how many days this will take? It's probably in the thread somewhere, but I'm too lazy.
Have a blast!
