And, interestingly, Steve you still have more than twice as many votes as the second place poll answer. Good for you! Or, um...well... Sarah Yeah, yeah, yeah. Everybody is ready to sacrifice me to the wasps. Do you think I'm scared? HA! You forget. I travel to Japan quite often. Do you think that even 20+ stings from these measly little American yellow jackets are going to scare me when I occasionally run in the country that is home to Vespa mandarinia (also known as the Yak Killer Hornet). en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asian_giant_hornetIf you read the article you will learn that not only is the larvae of this hornet a valued delicacy in Japan (is there anything they won't eat?), but it also supposedly increases endurance and is used in a number of energy drinks. I will have to make sure and put "Giant Hornet Larvae Secretion" on my list of things to bring back from my next trip to Tokyo. Of course, if you read the article you will also learn that hornets and honey bees are natural enemies of a sort. This is why whenever my travels take me to places where I might bump into a Giant Hornet, I always ask my good fried Blode to borrow his Giant Bee to go with me... www.rathergood.com/giantbee/Enjoy!

My vote is : Keep the races tough. Hear hear! If I don't give blood, get stung, sweat buckets, and pass out at the finish line, I'm truly disappointed. I'll second that: Keep the races tough! I was grinning ear-to-ear for days after Big Basin. - Fred
