For 24-hour men: < 30 - 1 loop would have scored points 30-39 - 74 loops would have scored 40-49 - 79 loops would have scored 50-59 - 37 loops would have scored 60+ - 79 loops would have scored
Ok, so I will wait until I'm 50 ;D

Actually, everyone at Lake Merritt this year would have scored points in his/her age group. And, if you look at the One Day, you'll see that, depending on your age group, you didn't have to rack up all that many miles to score points, either - For 24-hour men: < 30 - 1 loop would have scored points 30-39 - 74 loops would have scored 40-49 - 79 loops would have scored 50-59 - 37 loops would have scored 60+ - 79 loops would have scored For women, EVERYONE ENTERED would have scored points except for those in the 40-49 age group, when 54 loops would have scored. So, while not everyone who enters gets points, Steve, most who enter do - and, somehow, I don't think that the same can be said of the WS lottery. Sarah See, I told you this was a scheme to get me to run loops!

OK, after more discussion, we've decided to increase the number of runners who score points at each event from the top 5 to the top 8 - that's the top 8 overall, as well as the top 8 finishers in each age group, who will receive points.
Thanks for your input!
