Headlands

Hi everyone,

Im interested in the headlands fifty this year. i tried the race directors email, but no response. i really want to do this race, and know that it fills quickly. anyone have any info? when does registration begin, how quickly does it fill up? i saw the prereq. of an ultra in the last year, did tahoe 50k this past summer.

any help is appreciated!

They will reply - they are great about that. Headlands 50 is a wonderful race- there is plenty of time to sign up, it won't fill up too quickly. It does say the date is tentative- is it set yet, Sarah or Wendell, for sure?

We typically open registration about 6 months prior to the event date. Wendell will open registration for Headlands Hundred & 50 as soon as the date is finalized with all involved.

If HH does sell out, it won't be 'til close to event day, I imagine - and for all of our events, just keep an eye out here and/or the specific event page for status.

Greetings from the east coast. I'd like to add the Headlands Hundred to my 2008 schedule. Any sense when the race date will be finalized? With two little kids, the calendar gets full pretty quick. Right now it fits perfect between events. (So please don't change it!)

Thanks everyone. I saw that this was actually just the first year. Quite a reputation already. i'm not real involved in the community, but seems i've heard a lot of talk about it.

Well pencil me in, and I'll check in regularly for when registration opens. I hear these stories about Cool and WS filling in 7 seconds. From what I've heard it seems Headlands is approaching that notoriety.
