Yep, the event is 'rain or shine' - and we're lucky that we have a nice, big shelter at the finish line in Huddart Park, too.
See you then!

How are the trails in Huddard Park when it is wet? I assume that the trails are runnable, and the park service won't close the course; but how much clay can I expect to redistribute? Will I still be able to stay upright with road shoes?

lub- I ran basically the entire 50K course both yesterday (after several days of rain) and a couple weeks back actually during the worst of the storms...all trails are runnable even when saturated, within Huddart Park itself most of the trails are years of fallen leaf/needle debris and are not muddy at all, on the remainder you can always find a safe line around the standing puddles/run-offs. My training partner uses roads shoes and had no less/more difficulty than I did. So yeah it's slippery as might expect, but there are no area where you'll have loads of mud build up on your shoes, etc. Right now the biggest issue is the deadfall from the storms, lots of downed trees/branches strewn about, actually makes it a fairly adventurous course...one of the best. Best of luck. Will G.

We plan to work on these as much as possible while we're marking the course - although we won't clear everything and take away Will's fun!! Sarah
