Because of the limited parking, the Skyline Ridge Trail Run on March 1st will sell out...and soon. There will be no wait list and no run-day registration.
Be sure to sign up in the near future if you're interested in running that day.
Hope to see lots of you on the 1st of March!
Sarah

Sarah - question:
I was thinking of adding another 23k loop after the 50k as a preparation for C2M. I'd probably still finish within the time limit. Is that ok with you if I promise not to clean out everything that's left at the aid stations?
I've been tossing that idea around with Steve A.

Harry, I have actually decided that I am going to do mileage before and after the race. I will be parking at the lot at the intersection of 35 & 9 over at Saratoga Gap. It is a little over 9 miles on trail to the start of Skyline Ridge. This will allow me to not have to start too early and yet be able to bring the total distance for the day close to 50 miles which is what I need to convince myself that I can finish C2M :-). As for doing the 23K loop, I think you should look at the course again as the loops go 23K-14K-14K. I know you're fast and all, but you are really going to have to haul some butt of you think that you are going to head out on that 23K loop before the last person comes in.

well, the 50k + 23k is 7360' of elevation gain. That's about 500' less than Firetrails, which took about 8:30 to finish. I know the 14k loop is very runnable (no difficult, technical sections) and I'm going to check out the 23k loop coming weekend. Maybe I'll revise after that.
I figure I can just make it, but I'm asking for permission here - it's PCTR's decision. If they figure I shouldn't do it within their event then I'll most likely join you in the before & after.

We typically break that aid station down as soon as the last runner goes through, and we often sweep the ribbons right away, too. I don't think it's going to work if you want aid and a marked course, Harry.

Understood. I'll just add that loop on my own, then. Maybe I'll be back in time to see you off, but probably not - looks like the last 50k finishers take less than 8h

Last year the slowest 23K runner came in just under 4 hours. I think you may need to do a little more speed work before the race Harry

Darn it! I turned my ankle fairly hard 10k into the Sequoia run (You brought me ice, Sarah, thanks!), and quit after 30k. I can't tell if it'll be ready for Skyline or not, although today's 5 mile run was ok (other than some numbness and tingling afterwards). Oh well, I'll decide by tomorrow morning and hope there's one spot left then, or if the decision is made up for me

It's not really feeling up to it, but I decided since I could convince my wife it'd be ok, I can convince my ankle it'll be ok!

Man - I hate to miss my home run. I could literally "run" to the start, but no, I have to go to Arizona instead...
Well done Norbert, clap clap clap....
