Thanks for the replies. Before I saw the last couple of post I booked a room in the Lodge at Costanoa Lodge. Anyone know about this place or reviews, suggestions, etc. I think it is less than 10 miles from the finish.

Totally forgot about Coastonoa. I have heard great things about it, and will eventually stay there as friends gave my wife and I a gift certificate to stay their for our anniversary.
Let me know how it is after you stay there. It is pretty close to the finish area, so you will be set! :-) It's also a beautiful area.

There's also the Lighthouse Hostel near the finish. I'll have to lookup information on it. I'll post more later.
Franz.

11 Miles from the finish (parking location) is the Pigeon Point Lighthouse Hostel. The website says "starting at $20 a night". It's a nice place - I've visited but have never stayed there. The website says they have availability on Sept. 19, 20, etc. www.norcalhostels.org/pigeon/Franz.

I see the wether for Boulder Creek. Is there going to be a big temperature drop between boulder Creek and the finish?

Being that the finish is near the beach the weather WILL be different from Boulder Creek. The two big conditions that will effect Wadell Creek weather are wind and fog. As often noted by the extreme concentration of wind surfers, parasurfers, and hang gliders Wadell Creek beach can be windy. But I've noticed a large drop off in wind from the beach itself to Rancho Del Oso (the actual finish). It's not guaranteed that it'll be substantially colder (it changes so much day-to-day) but if you tend to get cold, I'd plan to at least have a windbreaker or sweatshirt available (the finishing shirt may just be enough!). You could always just keep running to stay warm! ;D For checking the weather, the finish will be more like Ano Nuevo's weather: www.weather.com/outlook/recreation/outdoors/wxdetail/CASPANSR:13?from=36hr_topnav_outdoors&dayNum=1Hope this helps, Franz.

Another option in the Ben Lomond area is the Boulder Creek Golf resort. They have many nice rooms with various price ranges depending on how many people are in the party.

All,
I will be in the area traveling with a group (soccer team) . Is anyone going to head to the race the night of the 19th or even the morning of from SAN FRAN? I need a ride to be able to run.
Thanks

I'm bumping last year's SttS lodging thread to the top of the board, as I'm hopeful that it might be useful for this year's runners.
