Hiya - first time poster here. Couldn't think of a better place to get advice on how to deter those pesky little yellow buggers while on the trails. Hubby got his first sting of the season yesterday! Last year we were stung a combined total of 7 times in less than two months! Can't imagine we're the only ones. Help? What works for you? (besides hanging a piece of meat around your partners neck!) ;D Thanks in advance - see you next month in Santa Cruz! Happy trails!

Either run in the front or the back...the ones in the front wake the little buggers up, the ones in the middle get stung, and by the time I catch up the bees are too tired...lol
Also, I hear the sting wipes don't work too well, but I carry them anyway.

Yep, I got nailed at Woodside last year--stung 5 times. Thank goodness I'm not allergic, but I do hate them so. But hey, it builds character.
Welcome to trail running. You'll find the adversity only adds to the experience (in hindsight, of course).
Take care!
