Do the Diablo veterans have any shoe suggestions for this weekend? Trail or road shoes? Has anyone been up since the storm? Any recommendations/information would be appreciated. Thanks!

The first 1/2 mile or so can get sloppy (thick mud), but should be dry by weekend, the remainder (of 25K loop) is on fine-crushed rock fireroads and naturally rocky single track that drains well with no mud issues at all really (I've run the course in heavy storm). I use road shoes, but don't think it really matters much, just wear your preferred shoe for ascending/descending, cause that's pretty much all you'll be doing on the day, other than the final long mile.
Challenging/fast course, among my favorites, hope to be there Sunday.
Good luck.

Will, thanks for the info. I look forward to seeing you this weekend . . . last time I saw you, you were grinding your home on a bum leg in Oakland. Glad to hear you're healthy again.
