Anything that us newbies to the race should be aware of? I can see the map and elevation....but are there any crossings? cautions? or ya know...some turbo top secret info that I should know?

It is a fun race. The whole thing is runnable and your feet will stay dry. Piece of cake. Have fun!!  |

There are a couple of spots in the 30 and 50k course that cross creeks, but every time I've run through there, they've been dry.

Nope. I am taking this years event off to run a 50 in the midwest.
Plus, I feel bad for all of the Californians and want to give them a chance to win one of their races for once. Ha! Just kidding.

Haven't decided yet if I'm going to be there... I'm running the LA Marathon this weekend and don't want to commit until I know how my recovery is going.

A good race and while the hill is tough I would do it again and the support was pretty good. However they need to work getting results done in a timely fashion, with only 50 or so people it took over an hour and we finally left. But it was a great day for running, I had no idea Diet Coke could taste so good.
