Does anybody know... is the Headlands marathon just the 25 mile loop? As opposed to adding 1.2 miles for a traditional length marathon?

Sorry, I can't give you a definitive reply but as far as I know it's 25 miles only. I'll find out for sure because I just signed up for the race.

No, it will be the full marathon distance. We realize that the web page for the Headlands 50 & Marathon is not updated (we're going to be launching a new website soon), but we will update here, on Facebook, and via e-mail to all entrants on Monday of next week. We'll be out on the course between now and then wheeling our options and looking to see how the road and trail closures near the start impact the course.
But don't worry - we wouldn't ever cut the course short for you all. We know that you want to get your money's worth! ;D

Very cool. The 1.2 wasn't going to make me feel gypped anyway. My body is ready. I was just curious to find out so I could start coaxing my mind into the entire affair be it 25 or 26.2. Thanks!
