Thank you so much for joining us yesterday for another lovely day in Carmel Valley. The day started out quite chilly but warmed up nicely, maintaining a wonderful breeze that even kept the ultramarathoners cool for most afternoon. And yesterday, just as every year at this venue, quite a few runners were a bit taken aback to find such a challenging course in a place with such an innocuous name. Yes, there is a valley – but there are plenty of mountains, too, as you all discovered!!
Congratulations to all the finishers, particularly to those of you who finished your first trail run on the beautiful, varied, and hilly trails of Garland Ranch Regional Park. Complete results are available at:

Our next event is the second annual San Francisco One Day 12 & 24 Hour Event, a classic fixed-time event where runners go as far as they can (or want to, at least) in 12 or 24 hours. Fixed-time events are very fun and very social, and the environment of Crissy Field is a spectacular place to run and walk some loops. We already have experienced fixed-time event runners and many first-timers signed up, and we’ll have at least three runners under 15 years of age in the 12-hour. It would be great if you’re able to join us at the One Day – as a runner, or feel free to come out and cheer on the folks as they circle around with views of the Golden Gate Bridge, downtown San Francisco, Alcatraz, and so much more.
Our next trail run is the Stinson Beach Trail Run on Saturday, November 10th, where we’ll have 12 Km, 20 Km, 30 Km, and 50 Km distances from which you may choose. We hope that you can join us for this fabulous event that starts right in Stinson Beach and covers some of the most famous and popular trails in all of Marin Country, like the Dipsea, Matt Davis, and Steep Ravine trails.
Thanks again for coming out to Carmel Valley, and hope we see you out on the trails again soon.
