Rick, Your photos wouldn't open Anita and I had a pretty good run, her legs were sore. (go figure, she ran Firetrails the weekend before). There were a lot more people than last year. BTW, we did go down to the SF course and we asked if this was Nike women's, one guy thought we were serious. It was very funny!! Good to see you and everyone else. All the runners were awesome... Leslie, the photos open ok. Just copy and paste the whole link (not just the highlighted piece) into a browser window and open the website.

Craig, good warmup for Javelina, eh? Umm.... I seem to be able to walk again today. I think Javelina will be fun as long as I don't go out too fast Craig

Yeah, you and all the people INSIDE the Palace of Fine Arts, I imagine! Oh, man...I laugh too loudly...
Thanks, you guys, for coming out to run in the event, help, and/or take photos. It was a fabulous weekend for us and it seemed to be equally so for the runners out there. Many of people went WAY further than ever before, and there was a lot of talking, sharing, eating, and laughing (not just by me) going on at Crissy Field. Thank you all.
Time for Wendell and me (and a bunch of you) to try to get some good sleep in preparation for Javelina this next weekend.
See many of there, and the rest not too long after, I hope.
Sarah

Sarah I'm still thinking about that Pumpkin Cheesecake Crumble pie you shared with me at the aid station tent Sunday morning. Whoever brought that, that was so good. That aid station tent was a dangerous place to be for someone who wasn't running.

I want to add my thanks to Sarah, Wendell and all of the volunteers. It was a first class race with probably the nicest group of runners I've met. The scenery wasn't too bad either! I'm already looking forward to next year's race.

We upgraded our timing software program for the SF One Day a few days before the event. I didn't have time to test and implement every feature but I thought runners, friends and family might like to check out: www.mylaps.com/results/newResults.jsp?id=686596Note that it lists the # of laps, not distance. The lap distance is 1.0174 miles. Be sure to click on your runner name. It lists each lap time and you can compare to other runners. Enjoy! Wendell (PCTR)

Hey, Wendell, you forgot to mention the part about how Jon Burg's gonna have to quit his job after he sees this. Sarah

That's some very cool toy even for those of us that didn't run! By the way, what happened to Jon Olsen? He has such a huge lead there.

Hi, Steve,
Thanks for stopping by Saturday. Jon really isn't used to running more than 16 or 17 hours. He made it to 100 miles in 15:32, took a break, then walked a lap and slogged through 8 more before calling it enough. He was just worn down as most of us get.
We were hoping all night that he would return to the course and protect his lead but he was done. Kermit is very humble and was hoping that Jon would return, too. He kept saying that Jon deserved to win and he regretted passing him.
Very exciting race!!
Wendell (PCTR)
