Hi all. Just a question on the aid stations. Are they stocked sufficiently for an athlete to finish the 50km race without having to take extra fluid between points, and additional nutrition. I realise that nutrition and sports drinks are personal choices, but I would prefer to travel light. I am coming over from Australia, and so am unfamiliar with aid station protocol. In Aus, the selection isn't great and they generally run out after the first half of the runners have gone through.

I can assure you anything/everything you could possibly need will be available at the PCTR aid stations throughout the course. With that said, depending on your pace, you should atleast carry a handheld water bottle Hopefully some Foster's and Violet Crumbles will be stocked specifically for this event. Will G.

Thanks for info. A hand held bottle is easy enough.
Mind you, I am not sure how much sweating I'll be doing - it is currently about 87 degrees here with 75% humidity, so I'll virtually be in full winter gear.
