After listening to Saturday’s forecast all last week, we were actually relieved to have mild temperatures and not-always-windy conditions at the Woodside Trail Run – not only was it perfectly wonderful fall running weather, it was even alright for the helpers who were out there all day long. That’s not always the case for this event, so many – both runners and helpers alike – were singing Mother Nature’s praises on Saturday!
One thing that is always the case for this event, however, is that the runners enjoy the fabulous, soft, shaded trails that are out there on the Woodside course – almost all runnable trails with few steep climbs, no technical sections, and fantastic gradual downhill…all the way to the finish line!
Thank you so much for coming out on Saturday, and a second ‘thank you’ to the many runners who brought friends, family members, or gym or work acquaintances out to the event – we are always honored when people enjoy our events enough to suggest them to others.
As often happens in Woodside, many runners were doing their first trail run or first ultramarathon on the course – congratulations to all you first-timers! Complete results are available at:

Our next event is the Muir Beach Trail Run on December 15th in the Marin Headlands. The course is very beautiful and quite challenging, and all distances (11 Km, 17 Km, 33 Km, and 50 Km) traverse some of the most spectacular trails that the Headlands have to offer. Please note that the Muir Beach Trail Run sells out every year, so if you’re interested in running it, please do be sure to sign up soon.
