Since some (most?) of us Diablo runners in the SF bay area will get up around 5am next Saturday I thought it would be nice to take this opportunity and step out of the house and watch the International Space Station flying by.
The time & coordinates for the SF bay area:
Sat Jun 02/05:03 AM
Duration: 2 minutes
Approach elevation and direction: 10 degrees above NNW
Departure elevation and direction: 23 degrees above NNE
Clear skies granted, the space station will appear as a bright dot (similar to a star) on the sky, moving quite rapidly and therefore clearly distinguishable.
After the sighting, don't forget to go back into the house and have a large breakfast: 300-600 calories! ;-)

PS: The visibility on Sunday lasts even longer (5 minutes) but who wants to get up early the day after race day??
