Thanks, Wendell & Sarah (and Aaron.)
Just posted over on the RWOL forum that that's the slowest 50K I've ever run, but easily the most fun.

Yeah, I had a great time too. Really kicked I disagree (33k). That last hill between the Tennessee Valley aid station and Muir beach destroyed me. Also, the capilene shirt looks amazing, I can't wait to try it out.

Thanks, you guys - we all had a great time yesterday, too! What a fabulous day in a beautiful place!! And, for those of us not running, it wasn't nearly as cold as we'd expected.
Thanks so much for coming out to run and for taking the time to post your neat messages - here and on the RWOL forum.
Sarah

Hi Sarah and Wendell. Thanks again to you both for all the work you do putting these runs on. I hope the fun and finances help you to continue doing it for years to come. It is about the only way I ever get around to running more than five or ten miles on a given day. The conditions were just right.
I thought I was in pretty decent condition after running the QuaDipsea last month, but as I often do, I went out way too fast, “racing.” It reminds me a lot of many horses in a ride & tie. They are going great, having a blast until reality sets in after the first vet check. Like I wrote to Sarah after the Mt. Diablo 50K last year “In my mind, I think I can still do that. Obviously, I can’t” I hope to be at Rodeo Beach to go again, but at a pace commensurate with my abilities. See you there, an thank you.

Thank YOU, George, for coming out again - it's always great to see you out there, whether you're running or racing! You cracked me up with your ride and tie comparison!
Hope to see you again next weekend - and many, many times in the New Year.
Sarah

An absolute blast!
What a beautiful course and what wonderful weather. Thanks to all volunteers.
That last hill before the stride to the finish was a monster!! I need more ;D
PCTR does an awesome job and I can't wait until Angel Island. (I'll be out of town for Rodeo, or else I would surely do that too.)
Thanks PCTR!!!!

Muir Beach was incredible - many thanks to the volunteers and the runners who helped keep me going!
By the way, if anyone found my hip-flexor muscle I think I left it on that last hill...

Thank you, Wendell and Sarah---and to those helpers who stood in the cold. What a great day.
I'll be back for my next 50K as soon as I recover from the minor Coca-Cola binge you all made possible.
Sarah
P.S. Thanks also to Jon, if you're out there, for the motivation on loop #2. Congratulations on a tremendous (read: Sysiphian) year of racing!

adding my thanks to the chorus. My five year old isabel had the time of her life after completing the 4k course that Wendell and Sarah created for her. When my knee recovers, I'll be back to active participation, but for now, watching my daughter discover her inner trail runner is awesome enough. Thanks for making these races not just fun, but family friendly

That 4K champion is something else. I love the bib numbers. You wouldn't get that at a big city road race, huh?

Chris, I agree with you that Sarah and Wendell are totally wonderful, but the #1 and #2 bib numbers are actually just a function of us having a last name that comes at the very beginning of the alphabet, though Wendell had the good sense to flip my #1 and Isabel's #2. I think the horror at her mother having a better number than hers would have crushed her. Smart guy, Wendell is (thanks again!)

Thanks, Wendell & Sarah (and Aaron.) Just posted over on the RWOL forum that that's the slowest 50K I've ever run, but easily the most fun. I was definitely a blast! I meant to tell you, though, Chris, if you want a *really* slow 50K time, may I suggest Ohlone? You could probably improve your PW by a full hour there. Mt Diablo 50K would probably also do the trick.
