It is easy to write this results letter, because it’s basically a thank you note. Thank you to the runners from central and southern California who came out to run last November and came back again on Saturday – your support, hospitality, and warmth are the main reasons that we look forward to this event and why it’s one of our favorites to put on. Thank you to the runners from the greater Bay Area who came down to the beautiful Santa Monica Mountains – we truly appreciate that you’d travel so far to run with us and it’s always great to see your familiar faces in the farther-from-home venues. Thank you to the wonderful helpers who spent such a big part of their Saturday helping the event run smoothly – as always, we couldn’t have done it without you. And thank you to the first time trail runners – we’re so honored when people choose a PCTR event for their first trail run, and you couldn’t have picked a prettier place to try out the trails. Thank you, all of you, who were there on Saturday – we truly had a great time from start to finish and hope that you did, too.
And we couldn’t have planned for nicer weather! After November’s scorching introduction to this event, we couldn’t have been happier for the runners when the cool and sunny start weather gave way to fog and low clouds. You still got the chance to check out the views from the peaks and experience running through the seemingly lit-up yellow flowers in the sun, but the cool fingers of fog were not only beautiful but meant that the day would be perfect for running.

We’ll be back down at La Jolla Canyon on the Sunday before Thanksgiving, November 18th. We hope that you’re able to join us then for another fun, challenging run in the fabulous Santa Monica Mountains.
