Soo, do I really have to be there before 8:00 to get my number? My wife and daughter are doing the 8 Km and don't want to arrive any sooner than they have too? I'm doing the 50 Km. I know it says 30 minutes prior to start time, but it will be hard to get these two going in the morning. Dennis

Dennis, it's been my experience that it's always worthwhile showing up early -- particularly when the event is sold out. There's always a line for the bathrooms and as quick as they are with the check-in, if 300 people show up at 8:15, there's only so much they can do. Also, as much as I like to tell myself I'm prepared to lock the car, get my bib and run, those times I've done that, I've often realized too late that I left something back at the car -- something like... water bottles. Or shoes. Clothing. You know, little stuff that nags at you in its absence.
Have fun. I wish I was going to be there this year.

Chris,
You are right of course. I'll try to get the girls up and out the door. Thanks!

There is also a bathroom next to the Visitor's Center on Field Road. Follow signs to the Visitor's Center. It's kinda on the way to the start, before you drive by the lagoon. So, do we get to run Lagoon Trail this time? the beach should be open, right? www.pctrailruns.com/PC_Course_Map.htm is not coming up for me.

Sorry that the map's not working for you - your link works for me. Anyway, nope - still no trail by the lagoon. Endangered frogs it is this time, I think. Sorry - but just think about how much better Wendell will feel with fewer people cursing him at the end, since they don't have to run across the sand... Sarah
