This was my first ever trail run and all I can say is that I'm hooked. I only wish I knew about trail running sooner.
Looking forward to future trail runs with PC.

This was my second race with PC Trail Runs, and I have to say they do a great job. The course was great; I've lived in LA for 17 years and had never been in that area before. I'm looking forward to the Sycamore Canyon run.
One question though regarding the photographer on the course and in the finish area... are those pictures going to be online anywhere?

and actually, I had another question. I was looking at the 14-mile Xterra Malibu Creek Challenge map (http://trailrace.com/maps/mctc_14mile_map.gif) and the course seems to be identical except for a little bit at the start (maybe a quarter of a mile difference?)
25k = 15.6 miles, but the XTerra race says it's 14. Which is correct? Or am I just missing a critical difference in the maps?

I haven't looked at their course/map, but we wheel all our courses ourselves with a surveyor's wheel, so the trail distances you find on our course descriptions are accurate. www.pctrailruns.com/MC_Course_Description.htm

Yeah, I assumed so, especially since it's pretty much the same course as the Bulldog 25k. I'm just trying to figure out where the XTerra race loses a mile and a half.

The photographs were taken by someone from Facchino Photography, and they will be in touch with all the runners as soon as the photos are available for viewing and purchase. www.capturethemoment.net/?page=default
