Diablo, even after this year's DNF, has claimed the title of my very favorite race. Hands down, my favorite. The course, the challenge, the distance and most of all, the people.

Agreed, agreed! Also want to chime in that the shirt is awesome! I had to travel to DC on Sunday (fun, a plane flight the day after a 50-mile) and I got TONS of stares at my brand new diablo shirt. Amazing! I'll come back next year just for the shirt! Oh wait, and the fun, and the trails, and the people, and those friendly cows...
Thanks to all for an AMAZINGLY fun day.

I'll come back next year just for the shirt! I told Sarah the new logo on a Capilene shirt was the reason I signed up this year.

Seriously, thanks, each of you, for your kind comments. We're SO glad that you like the coaster, the shirt, and (especially) the course. It is our 'home course', the mountain where we love to run, and there's nothing we enjoy more than sharing it with you all. Thanks again for coming to Diablo to run and for your most kind comments.

I agree.... Even though I had to leave the course early :~) I really love the run and running on Mt. Diablo. Have to figure out how to work out babsitting issues to I can do this again next year! Thanks for putting on a great event and always have the nack to have the "perfect" weather.....

This was my first 50 Miler and I did not know what to expect, I am glad that I finished, albeit very slowly. I had some stomach issues, twisted my ankle and had a couple of nice blisters... But my GOD it was an amazing run. I had the greatest pacers (thanks Janet and Kim) thus they pulled me until the end. It was here exactly a year ago when I did my first trail marathon and I had the most horrendous time. I got lost and I cursed the mountain, the shoes and myself for getting me into that race. What a difference a year can make, I loved this experience and I cannot wait to do it again.. Next time I'll chose my shoes wisely...
Thanks Sarah and Wendell...It was an amazing run....
I am taking a little time off from trail running until I finish training and completing my next adventure... Ironman Cour d'Alene... I'll be back running with you guys @ the trails at the end of June

This was my first Diablo 50-miler and I am still amazed at how beautiful and difficult that course was. That's some event. As for the schwag, I totally agree. The Diablo coaster has officially replaced my Headlands Hundred coaster. The shirt I will probably wear on "The Relay" this weekend. Thanks PCTR!
