Well, I, for one, think that your English is amazing, Chihping - I am constantly impressed that you not only speak but also write as well as you do. And I know what you mean about getting old and memory, believe me! I am turning the big 50 next year...and the older I get, the more I appreciate the race reports and things to remind me of what I've done!! Thanks again for your wonderful blog and your contributions to this Message Board. See you soon! Sarah

Thanks Sarah! I also read Addy's report (and her friend Terry's). They are great! I started with a brief description to tell my friends how I finished my first 50 miler in AR50 2005. I kept writing some in later races. I found I always have fun in reading them over and over again with the race feeling coming out differently every time. My memory are fading (getting old :-)), but I thought I can put down something after a race so that I can keep the joy, fun, and excitement forever in other forms (words and now also in pictures). On the other hand, I'd like to write more to improve my English :-) Therefore I started my blog ( ultrafamilyman.blogspot.com/ ) last year. Thanks for visiting it. Chihping I'm sure most of the Diablo runners get the "Are you crazy?" and "Why are you doing this?" type of questions. I've never had an good answer other than the old Everest adage: "because it's there." One thing I heard from a fellow ultra runner a few weeks ago that I can subscribe to fully (paraphrasing): The years go by so quickly, that these half day and full day+ events create a lasting memory and achievement that you will not soon forget. It's not surprising you remember the details of races from a few years ago very well. And, nice race report.
