The Skyline Ridge Trail Run is coming up on Sunday, May 20th. We are limited by the Open Space folks in terms parking at this event and have sold out every year. Entries are coming in fast and furious again this year, and it's very likely that we will close registration next week and NOT have run-day registration.
Be sure to sign up soon if you're interested in running Skyline Ridge!

I usually don't like to commit to a race until I've recovered from the previous one (i.e., Lake Merritt), but I couldn't resist. ;D I love these trails. You should begin a frequent runner program with different status levels..., only kidding. Don't change a thing!

Yeah, we know that a lot of people prefer to wait - but, for events like Skyline Ridge where the parking is very limited, sometimes waiting doesn't work. As we say, this one's sold out every year - the parking lot's not that big, and there's no nearby street parking, so once we fill the lot, we're done. Glad that you saw the 'will sell out' notice, Jon!! I would have hated for you to have missed out. See you on Saturday at Lake Merritt - it's supposed to be nice and cool by then, thankfully! Sarah

Sarah As such, anyone coming from the city is welcome to ride. It's just me right now. Just let me know and we can coordinate.

Skyline Ridge trail run is on a set of very pretty trails through various mid-peninsula open spaces. At 2,000ft, one side is ocean some miles away, while the other side is Bay Area valley. When I ran it at the end of April last year, the trail was full of morning fog so that I had to take off my prescription glasses. Every hair on any runner was whiten with dew.
I ended up throwing my glasses into a trash bag accidentally. I kept running and got lost due to poor eye sight. On next visit to the aid station, I picked up my glasses within the chili soup at the bottom of a fully packed trash bag. Thanks Sarah for letting me take 37K credit as I was afraid my family would waited too long if I continued for 50K.

That's why multiple-loop races have their advantage. While it's a tough mental challenge to cross the finish line and see your car waiting for you it is also very valuable, be it picking up bagels or prescription glasses from within the chili soup! Norbert
