Knee is feeling great... I went for a good swim today, it should help to flush the lactic acid from the legs as well. Registered for Mount Diablo yesterday... You know, sometimes I have asked myself why things happened they way they do? Do we have a say or simply is part of a plan? And if we have a say, why things are not the way we want them to be, and if it is part of a plan why even try? Yesterday at Skyline ridge I think that dive I took for no reason had a purpose, I did not finish the run... but To be continued!!!

your telling me.I am starting to get grumpy lol.I want it in tip top shape for Diablo & I am notorious for being injured and NOT resting & it getting worse, but this time I am smart about it.I do it also because I can and I love the big fat hamburger I eat after HAHAHA....seriously though there is nothing like running on a huge mountain that is hard and then finishing it...i love that I can run for hours and still love it ya know.

velasqu7, I am sorry to read about your spill but glad that you are on the fast "trail" to recovery. The Skyline event was my introduction to trail runs. The scenery was incredible and I wanted to just stop and enjoy the sites. However, I continued running and plan to return this weekend to take some photos. The event was well organized (especially the trail identifications with the ribbons) and the event coordinators and other participants were very kind. I plan to run the Santa Cruz event and other trail runs to improve my endurance for street course runs. Thanks to PCTR for presenting a wonderful first time experience for me. See you on the trails...................with a smile Ken

Ultragirl.. I used to live in Michigan a long time ago... one day, like many in Michigan, the weather was cold, ice on the streets, foggy, and cold yet I muster my courage and went for a run. Comming back to work I saw these two guys in the entrance of the building smoking a cigarrete.. They saw me like I was a crazy nut, I was cold, my face was completely red and I felt my ears were about to fall.. One of them says, referring to my run, "and the point of that is?" I could not help but but crack a smile and think to myself, you have no idea.....

Ken... this is my inaugural trail season too. I never ran trails before, my maiden trail run was about a month ago in stinson beach. Diablo marathon was my second trail run and I love it, despite the fact I got lost and ended up making it an ultrmarathon.... I am going back to the mountain in two weeks and I see you at Pacifica too...
