Hey, YOUR name is on there, Norbert!! ;D That should be a piece of cake after last weekend, huh? ~1,400 feet less elevation gain even though it's 19 miles longer!

We really do need to get some more names on that 100 list. With only 17 entrants I am sure I am going to get lost out there even though I will be running some parts of that trail for like the 6th time this year by that last loop. By the way, if I do the Headlands 50K shouldn't that be considered some sort of "Headlands Slam"? Or do I have to complete the Muir Beach and Rodeo Beach 50Ks as well? If I did all that I could probably run that last one blindfolded!

... If I did all that I could probably run that last one blindfolded! ahem... I don't think you're ready for any blindfolded running! ;D Sarah, could you do me a super-favor and de-capitalize my name on the list? Sticking out like that was bad juju for me the last time... Thank you!

Thanks Harry! LOL! Since that injury was literally due to wearing sunglasses in the shade, can you imagine what I am capable of if I run blindfolded!

I will be happy to ask Wendell to de-capitalize you - but we only put your name on the list the way you type it when you sign up, so you might want to make sure your 'Caps Lock' is off next time.

Steve, wearing sunglasses in the SHADE? On Diablo? Where was the shade? I think I must have run off-course because I was hot most of the time. ;D Sarah, yes, my name is in the list. How did it get there?? Just kidding.. And really, I was tempted to opt for the full 100, but the 50 will be plenty for me this time. Can't wait - this will be a great summer! Norbert

Well, Norbert, you can always run 50 and, if you're feeling especially good, continue on for the second 50. You can pay us the difference at the end of the hundred.
We had one guy sign up for and run 30 Km, eat three bowls of chili, and then go back out with his friend for another 20 Km to run their first ultra.
But perhaps I've told you that story before...

Thanks Sarah for reminding me. Well, extrapolating from 30k to 50M, I would have to eat 8 chilis and then head out again! I think I could do that

I thnk you can do it, too! You may have to build up to that in your training over the next months. And don't forget to taper for the 2-3 weeks right before the race - you should hardly eat any chili in those last few weeks.
