Any one know of a good but close camping spot close to the start

There are a couple of camping sites nearby... the link is available on from this site if you look hard enough.
Thornhill Broome beach is right across the road from the start and Sycamore Canyon is about 2-3 mile south of the start.
That being said, I have 2 available rooms in my home which is about 25 mins north of the race. We love to have other ultra runners stay with us. Email me if you are interested.

There's a group campsite literally 100 yards from the start... not sure if it's available for that weekend, but might be worth getting a group together for it and splitting the cost. See: www.nps.gov/samo/planyourvisit/camping2.htm (the "La Jolla Canyon Group" entry) |
