Skyline to the Sea 50. Date still tentative?

Looking for my first 50K after having just finished my first marathon (CIM). The web-site says this date is still tenative.

Any updates on this one?

I've heard this is a good 50K for first-timers. Any race reports from the past, from a first-timer perspective?

I didn't find any first-timer reports, but see this page for some reports. Note that in 2008 (the first year) it was run in September, with lots of bees. Oh, wait, all of those are from 2008.

There is a small group of us from Colorado also waiting to see when the date gets comfirmed.

This is a great race, incrediblely beautiful, nice trails and down hill. One little climb and a couple of smaller ones. I ran it the last two years. No problem with bees since the race was changed from the fall to the spring.

I am also looking forward to running this for the first time! I just hope that the date can be changed either to the week before or after this date. Otherwise I will have to wait til next year.

Website still showing the date as tentative... Big Sur Marathon is the same day.

Does anyone know for sure if the date has been finalized?

Ok, we are 3 months from the race. Can anyone tell us where we stand on the tentative date??? There are several of us from Colorado that would like to run the race but can not wait forever to get airline tickets and hotels.

PLEASE, just let us know where things stand so we can make decisions and move on.
