With the run still being posted as tentative does that mean it's not going to happen? It will be my first Pacific Coast event and I'm not familiar with the way they work.

Same here. We live in Denver and need to make plans as stated on another post. A buddy of my has emailed Sarah and Wendell directly but has yet to hear any thing back from them. He is changing to another race locally and we may have to do the same. So I am not sure what is going on as they are usually all over everything and very effecient. Hope all is well.

I wonder if the state park situation is still messy. That caused them to re-route the Headlands 100 last year, and this race does at least partly go through a state park.

Yes, Skyline to the Sea will happen. Although, we really regret that Diablo 50 won't happen due to the CA state budget cuts. We're scheduling the SttS event for April 17th or 18th. There's a potential conflict with a trail work group on that weekend and I've been trying to get confirmation for a few weeks now. I expected to know by last Friday. Thanks for your patience.

Wow. Big news on Diablo. I find myself both disappointed I won't have a chance to avenge my DNF from last year, and also relieved since it was going to be a stretch to do better. I do really hope it comes back in a future year.
Time to rethink my plans between now and then...

It occurs to me that the Diablo 50 going away changes the Grand and Mini Prix series as well. Assuming you still want to keep both series at 4 events, one thing would be to add a trail marathon to some existing event (SttS would be trivial), and use the Headlands 50 to replace the Diablo 50. That way the Grand Prix series would have both the Headlands 50 and 100, and the Headlands 50 would actually be part of both series.

Of course the Diablo 50 would be canceled because its the first time in 3 years that it was actually going to fit into my schedule! Aargh! Now I have to find another 50-miler to do in the month before MMT.
I suppose I could always consider doing it "fatass" style...
