I'm with MOBUR... Xterra is afraid of the mud. It's a shame because they put on a nice event. As of yesterday 3 out of my 4 Xterra race dates have been postponed... and it's not even supposed to rain this Sunday. UGH ! I do see that on some of PCTR races it says rain or shine but I do not see that on Montana de Oro??? I would like to register if it's not going to cancel because of weather.

I would bet money that all their events are rain or shine. They probably just add the note if rain is threatening and they get tired of answering this question. But I do not speak for PCTR.
Do note that Montana de Oro is not this Sunday but the following Sunday...

According to Xterra, their Nor Cal events go rain or shine---the So Cal don't because its the event sites, not Xterra, that make that call. I'm thinking that those Pacific Coast So Cal runs would also be cancelled in the rain if this is true.

At any rate, the long term forecast indicates that Sunday the 14th looks good with no rain predicted at this time. Obviously that can change, but I'll take rain over the 60 mph winds that occurred during last year's event at the top of Valencia Peak.

amen! lets hope for calm winds up on Valencia this year!
Right now the forecast is looking really good for this weekend: Mostly clear. Highs in the mid 60s to lower 70s. Lows in the upper 30s and 40s.
