I ran the first 10K a few weeks ago and it was almost completely shaded. Does anyone know about the rest of the course especially towards the end? Just wondering whether to sunscreen the nose.

If you are running the marathon, you'll have one hot section midway on a south facing slope with areas run over light colored sandstone and dirt. Hot and reflective.
On the additional loop for the 50 KM there is one stretch of maybe a half mile that is also very hot and the road surface is nearly white ~~~~very reflective.
Most of the rest is shaded or filtered light. However, you'll want sunscreen afterwards when you bask on the tropical beach and swim in are toasty Pacific ocean.
