If the PCTR Trail series is for races up to 37 KM in length and the Ultra series starts with 50 KM races, what happens to trail marathons (42 KM)? Are they pointless? ;D

Until they added (very recently) the official marathon option to SttS, the only trail marathon they had was Diablo (marathon and 50 miler). That is canceled this year, but if it had happened, the trail marathon was to be part of the Mini Prix series.
So I think it's basically an oversight.
I had suggested making the SttS marathon replace Diablo in the Mini Prix, with the Headlands 50 replacing the Diablo 50 miler in the Grand Prix, but they apparently decided against that. And now, with SttS sold out and 2 days away, it's way too late to revisit that for this year.

PCTR lists 2 marathons: Skyline to the Sean and Headlands (as an alternative to the Headlands 50). The Headlands 50 is included in the "Mini Prix", so the marathons wouldn't be likely to be included. The Mini Prix looks like it's designed for mid length Ultras, vs the Grand Prix which is for the longest Ultras and the Ultra series for all the 50 KM races.
CTR has several marathon length races and was affiliated with PCTR. Is it still? All the events were pulled from the PCTR schedule and renamed. CTR looks like it's a separate, competitor now. Is it? About a month ago my friend was told CTR races would be counted in the Race Series along with PCTR races. Is that still true?
I'm thinking about doing the Headlands marathon and was just curious if it would count towards anything. If the marathon events are relatively new, I'd think they'd be included in the Trail Series, since that includes anything up to 37 KM. It looks like it was meant to include runs below 50KM.
