Hi Everyone,
I see the BB Redwoods 50k has almost 7,000' of elevation gain. How "steep" are the uphills (and downhills for that matter) on this course? Are they long ups and long downhill sections, or is it more of a roller coaster? I can never tell too much from the elevation profiles. I have run the TNF Endurance challenge 50k in Marin headlands and run in Marin/Mt Tam area all the time, can anyone compare to that? I know it's a hard question to answer, but if anyone could give me a good course description it would be much appreciated. I haven't been down to BB Redwoods State Park before and I'm trying to "mentally prepare" for the race!
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated, see you on Sunday!

The 10K loop (which you'll do twice in the 50K) has the steeper climb, and it's definitely a grinder come mile 26 or so. The course in general is a series of climbs & descents, nothing flat but the final kilometer of shorter loop...a relatively tough/technical course, you can expect an additional 30min (minimum) over TNF50K finish times imo. No doubt trails are among the best in area...beautiful park, excellent event.
Good luck.
