I'm thinking about signing up to run Pacifica and have my family work an aid station.... it's a far commute for us.... wondering if it's worth the drive?

It's a tough one, especially if it turns out to be a hot day (as it was when I did my first 50K there, in June 2008). And also be prepared for the loop structure: some people are tempted to stop if they come by the start/finish in the middle of the race.
That said, I've done it about 5 times, and there's a fair chance I'll do it again this summer.
