Never had trail putty before, but PB & Honey sandwiches were a favorite of mine as a kid so it sounds really good! With all the people in the 50M, just make sure they don't eat it all before us slower 100M runners get in there :-)

just to make sure no one goes home hungry, am assembling a 4x batch of peanut butter fudge & a few hundred snickerdoodles. i figure if it doesn’t get eaten i can always bring it back home with me.
also might bake up some extreme caffeine brownies just for the 100 milers & volunteers...

Ultragirl, I'm not running in the race but I'm thinking of showing up anyway. It is a bake sale right?

How 'bout some white wine spritzer? Just in case some Europeans show up...they can't stand Gatorade.
And what exactly are snickerdoodles?

Wendell/Sarah - will the drop bags for the 50 milers be gone by the time we reach Tennessee Valley the second time? The chart shows that they won't be available (on the Aid Station/Drop bag page).
Just wanted to check - thx!

Sunday Morning only?? Wait! I'll be at home by then! Also I think we should eat everything during the first 50 miles, because during the second you will be nauseous and not willing to eat anything! An aid station at that point becomes a mere social checkpoint! ;D

My ability to eat is the one natural ultrarunning talent that I was born with.

Wow, Jon - I hope that you pay more attention to the course markings than you're paying to these food posts! Pat, the maker of the world-famous PB fudge, already posted about it!!
