Oh, I can TOTALLY see why Brad is doing that! I think those kinds of epic runs are THE BEST!! And Brad has friends and family there, so he'll get support - it'll be GREAT!!

I decided to run across Iowa because I can't take time off work to run across the US. Plus, it's there so I figured I should try.
Sarah, I will not be running Diablo. I went for a short 8 mile trail run and my ITB was not happy on the downhills. I think it might be best if I sit this one out. I understand no refunds (that's how it works!), but if you could give my spot to someone else in case you sell-out, I won't be using it. I'm going to stick to flat ground until I'm done with Iowa. -Brad

Hi all,
I'm about to register for the 50K, and was wondering if anyone from the peninsula or south bay would be willing to share a ride with me (I live in Menlo Park). I'm trying to avoid riding my motorcycle to the event, as I would expect a very painful ride home!
Thanks, Greg

I dont recall any showers being there, bathrooms yes.I would love to wash off after but I may have to wait until I get home. 4 days to go.Knee feels great. I am worried(for no reason) that in the past two weeks I have pnly ran a handful of miles LITERALLY. A few 3 milers is all.Aw well adrenaline and confidence in my hill running will ge me through...i hope.Sorry eveyone I am having the nerves running though me.

Hello!
Searching for carpool/ride to Mt. Diablo from Davis. Will supply gas money, and as an incentive bananas. ;D

There are lots of low water spigots near the start/finish, but the only showers are up at Juniper Campground - the aid station on the course - which is nearly an hour's drive from the s/f. So it's pretty easy to get cleaned up, but it won't be an actual hot shower.
See you all soon!!
